Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum

We are a great venue for weddings with a charming English countryside chapel and an impressive selection of reception areas. On January 28, 1942, fifty-three days after the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor, the 8th Air Force was officially activated in the National Guard Armory on Bull Street in Savannah, Georgia. In 1983, Major General Lewis E. Lyle, USAF Retired, a B-17 veteran of 70 combat missions during World War II, began planning a museum along with other veterans. In May of 1996, to the applause of 5,000 8th Air Force veterans, their families, dignitaries, and supporters, the vision became a reality with the dedication of the new museum.

…Hi Kim...We got back from Savannah last night, after having had a wonderful 4 days, and I want to thank you on our group's behalf for the lovely accommodation - we walked everywhere and found our way around town with ease. The house (#1006) was great - comfortable and well-equipped, and visited every day by a lovely calico kitty! So thanks to you and your organization for making our "Savannah getaway" a great one…
