In a friendly atmosphere, Savannah’s new Wiley’s Championship BBQ restaurant and catering serves up "World-class BBQ in your own back yard."
In November 2007, Georgia and South Carolina BBQ champions Wiley and Janet McCrary placed first in both pork ribs and beef brisket in the by-invitation-only National Barbecue Festival. Those same championship techniques, including rubs, spices, and the popular BBQ sauce will be on the menu.
Reminiscent of the everybody-knows-your-name Cheers television atmosphere, WILEY’S CHAMPSIONSHIP BBQ is a signature showplace that will feature excellent food, friendly people, conversation, wine and cold beer. The backdrop is museum-caliber BBQ memorabilia, blues music, and WiFi for multi-tasking. Supporting characters include Chef Anthony, who meanders in and out of the kitchen.
