Seeking Happy Hour Deals in Downtown Savannah

Savvy Travelers always like to know where the locals eat and drink inexpensively. Here at Savannah Getaways, we fancy ourselves as a bit of an expert on knowing where all the most popular watering holes are located within the landmark downtown district, all within easy walking distance of your vacation home. These are a handful of our personal favorites listed below. Disclaimer, Okay, we had a little help from our well traveled friends & all are equally well ranked on other Savannah restaurant sites as the best of the best.

Rocks on the River, Rocks on the RoofThe best view in all downtown of the Savannah River. Located in the Bohemian Hotel between River Street and Bay Street. The missus and I have had two astonishing chef grade meals here on our last two trips to River Street, nuff said.

17Hundred90 – Loved this haunted inn since my Birthday introduction 13 years ago and still stick my head in the door when possible. Want to hang out and drink with the locals? This is the place.

Molly McPherson's Scottish Pub and Grill – Gets our Triple Threat vote (and Trip Advisor's), Over 150 different Whiskies offered with a killer shepherd pie in a convenient just off City Market downtown Location.

Molly MacPherson

Leoci's Trattoria – In the back of the historic district on Abercorn Street. Knock down your favorite refreshment and tasty Italian fare under the Live Oaks on the outisde deck.

LuLu's Chocolate Bar – How sweet it is! Our favorite forbidden pleasure, chocolate, along with a selection of inexpensive happy hour drink prices, on MLK off of City Market.

606 East Cafe – The return of a Legendary Savannah Eatery. About as eclectic as it gets just a a few steps down from Lulu's and Molly MacPherson's from two different connecting Historic District Map Section One directions. You be hanging with the artists at this brick facade MLK Restaurant.
