Just a dozen miles upriver off the Georgia coast, Savannah is renowned for her old world English antebellum style of cobblestone streets and unique garden squares. Live oak trees draped in Spanish moss accentuate historic homes in this top tourist destination. Georgia's First City and the Hostess City, just two of the names Savannah has become known for, is uniquely set up to allow you to vacation like a local in perfectly located historic home rentals.

Savannah Urban Lofts near River Street and City Market

Being in the middle of City Market and River Street is a favorite among people staying in Savannah condo rentals. The cobblestoned River Street and the historic City Market are filled with fine art galleries, restaurants, antique stores, boutique shops, cafes, and so much more. The City Market spans four blocks of the downtown area in Savannah between Ellis Square and Franklin Square. River Street runs along the Savannah River with its many shops and restaurants. For all our late-night friends, night time in Savannah offers plenty of live music, fine dining, along with street entertainment to keep you busy before calling it a day at your Savannah rental.

Day Trips from your Savannah Vacation Rentals

Day Trip from your Savannah vacation townhouse out to Tybee Island just 20 minutes miles east of Historic Savannah is a close at hand option. Additional beautiful beaches on the Atlantic Ocean can also be found less than an hour away on South Carolina’s Hilton Head Island or down coastal Georgia on St. Simons Island.

OUR CUSTOMERS SAY IT BEST
…As Savannah is considered a top U.S. ‘walking’ city, it is important to book lodging within the Historical District – SPR’s preferred hotel, the Hyatt is located within this district. However, if you are looking for alternative lodging for a more ‘local’ feel and often cost effective trip, consider rentals by owner. The preferred agent for these rentals is Savannah Getaways. Rentals can be viewed…(www.savannahgetaways.net)…(choose browse rentals, browse ALL listings and then choose the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, location etc., email to inquire about the rates and availability, and you may want to inform them if you will be female and traveling alone, as they do attempt to place you in a safe area. My preference is to stay closer to Bull Street, preferably East, and North of Gaston as the area is always hopping with tourists (areas nearer to Forsyth Park tend to grow a little shady after dark)…
